Union Lido reviews
Union Lido campsite, Cavallino, Venice, Italy
Pro's: Clean and impressive Holiday Home, Well maintained Park, Lots of pools and slides, Good varied food options, Friendly English speaking Staff.
Con's: Cramped space on flight, Venice very expensive.
Our first escape away since the lockdowns and confined home living. The flight into Marco Polo went smoothly with distancing well observed and followed by others. On arrival at the Union Lido Holiday Park we continued to feel safe with sanitation stations dotted around and staff wearing gloves and masks. The pools had plenty of space as well, and the kids loved the water slides. It was fairly busy in the evening. We only dinned out twice, the first time outside the park restaurant but the second time we was indoors and it felt a little too busy for comfort. Everyone was temperature tested but in these strange times, I think I am more cautious and so we ended up using the takeout options after that in which the food was varied and tasty, which covered my picky kids.
The beach was immaculate and it was barron during our early walks which was very relaxing and peaceful.
This trip was just what we needed after working from home during lockdown. So much fun for the kids which allowed us to relax, and we all enjoyed wellness pools. We took a trip to Venice which was the highlight of the trip. The beautiful city made me feel I was returning to a little reality, seeing the beautiful sights and losing ourselves in the narrow streets, totally the opposit of the 4 walls of our house the past year or so. I would recommend the holiday park, it not only matched our budget, but the facilities where plentiful for family enjoyment and well maintained. I would certainly return to this place.
Just arrived back from Union Lido park and all I can say is WOW. The best holiday for the family so far. I could write forever about this park but words can't decribe how wonderful it really is! It caters for all ages and offers tons of sports, dancing lessons, swimming lessons...absolutly all sorts. It even has it's own shopping complex for cloths, toys food huts and bars. Would honestly check the online videos for this place before you book anywhere else as I'm sure any family won't be disapointed here.
Great park, great location with so much to do you will never be bored or disapointed. The park has a huge aqua complex with 2 massive pools surrounded by sandy mini beaches, a fancy jacuzi, lovely new spa facilities and if thats not enough lots of large slides and a lazy river. The campsite also has its own sports grounds which cater for every sport under the sun. The youngest particularly enjoyed the football and mini golf. Words can't describe has large and fantastic this park truly is. It knocks the socks off every other holiday park I have visited and have booked again for next July.
