Marina di Venezia reviews

Marina di Venezia campsite, Punta Sabbioni, near Venice, Italy

The Malpas Family | July 2015

Visited Punta Sabbioni in July and chose to stay here due to it's close location to Venice. The small port is a 20 minute walk away from the campsite and it takes 30 minutes to get to the central Marco Polo stop. We was very surprised by the quality of this campsite, in fact I would call it more of a luxury holiday park. It's a very large campsite but the pitches are much larger than other camspites we have been to in Italy. It has an impressive complex in the center of the park which has lots of shops, bars, restaurants and hairdressers as well as an amazing swimming pool area. The Venice themed crazy golf was fantastic with lots of water fountains. The kids loved the arcade room and mini go kart area. The campsite itself arranges various trips, we went on a group cycling trip around the small islands of Punta Sabbioni. We also took part in a wine tasting experience on park whilst the youngest enjoyed the Thomson fun clubs. The wine was out of this world, created by a local vineyard owner who had a passion for his unique wine production techniques. The park had a kite surfing specialist next to the entrance of the beach. The eldest took part in a training session and after a day he was hooked. Our mobile home was clean and modern with a large enough pitch to play badminton. Overall, Loved Venice, Loved Marina Di Veniezia, have booked again for next year to visit the Lakes.

The Smith Family | April 2012

With a family of 5 we chose this campsite due to the list of facitities and its close proximity to the Venetian coast. The campsite had a lovely feel to it with lots of huts and shops making it a very friendly community. The Al Fresco Reps were very helpful and friendly, they even replaced the gas cylinder late evening within half an hour of asking. The park itself could do with a little more space for the pitches but apart from that this is the best park we have visited in Italy. The pool area is fairly new looking and well cared for. A lifeguard is on watch during the day and the sports and activities from mini golf, dance classes and lots of playground with bouncy castles entertaining the kids throughout our trip. The beach is walking distance and was very clean and not to busy. We stayed on the campsite for 7 days, toured the coast for 3 and stayed a further 3 days on the Marina di Venezia campsite. The last day we took the nearby local shuttle ride to Marco Polo which was a fabulous trip, everything I pictured Venice to be. We absolutly loved this holiday and have never had so much fun and variety. Have booked again for the late summer sun.
