Bella Italia reviews

Bella Italia campsite, Peschiera, Lake Garda, Italy

The Young Family | July 2016

Campsite was larger than we expected but well organised and layed out into little avenues. The mobile pitches don't have much privacy. Campsite is in a great location that sits on the edge of Lake Garda. It has a lovely restaurant that overlooks the lake as well as a cafe downstairs, pizza takeaway (which is always busy). There is a well stocked mini supermarket, gift shop, games room, bar and internet cafe all in the same area of the campsite. Slightly away from this area is a pool area, a bar, and a childrens play area with inflatable castles and children's club games. The campsite itself is in a good location at the bottom of Lake Garda. The nearest town is walkable but we prefered to drive there. There are a few restaurants and shops and you can take boat trips across the lake from here. Gardaland is only a 10 minute car journey away and although very expensive I would recommend it as a fantastic day out. Would suggest leaving early to avoid the cues coming out as we ended up in traffic for an hour before we got back to site. Movie World is also very near. Fantastic theme park for children to teens however you can probably do it all in half a day if your clever with the show times. There are loads of different companies on this site, we stayed with Al Fresco. All the Al Fresco mobile homes looked clean and newish and located not too far away from the facilities.
Overall had a great holiday, would definetly go back and reccommend to anyone.

Completly agree with all these reviews although I must add that we booked throuhg Suncamp in one of their new Sunlodge mobile homes and found it fantastic. Friends we made on site booked with Keycamp who's mobile was older and not very clean. They even paid more than us so I would definetly recommend Bella Italia.

This was our second trip to Lake Garda - a wonderful place that I couldn't recommend enough. The Lakes are beutifull and the scenery is untouched. On this trip we stayed in the area of Peschiera del Garda located to the southern area of the lakes easily reachable from Verona airport. We chose Peschiera not only for it's close proximity to the airport but also for a two day trip to Venice and to take the kids to the big Gardaland theme park. Venice was certainly stunning and the kids were thrilled to bits trying all the big rides at Gardaland. We stayed on a holiday park called Bella Italia. The main reason we chose this park was to cut down costs with having a big sized family (6 of us all together). We were plesantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation and park facilities as the price we paid with Thompson Al Fresco was the cheapest we could find at the time. The 3 bedroom mobile home was big enough for us all and the decking allowed us to have the evening meals outside, getting full use out of the patio heaters when it got a little chilly after 9. Bella Italia park is rather a large park but the grounds were well maintained and the activities and sports available were endless. We rarely saw the eldest kids in the day and even the youngest never got bored of the organised clubs and the fun evening entertainment. Only negative I would say about the park is that without a map you can easily get side tracked. We found ourselves lost a few times so we would recommend picking up a park map from the tour reps or reception. We would certainly recommend this park to any large family like ourselves, had a thoughly wonderfull two weeks in Peschiera del Garda and would certainly return again to the Bella Italia park.

For many years we had wanted to go to Lake Garda, and this year we finally went. We stayed at the Bella Italia campsite, which was right next to the lake. We booked with Eurocamp and stayed in a two bed mobile home with decking and had a brilliant time! The Eurocamp reps were extremely helpful and friendly, and they also ran a great children's club (funstation), which the kids loved. We did a few day trips during our stay to Gardaland and to Venice (took a couple of hours to get there but well worth it!), which we easily organised with the help of the campsite staff. The campsite itself has good facilites, which are clean and well looked after. We had such a great holiday here that we plan on going back next year! garda itself.

The Jameson Family | September 2009

On the southern edge of the magnificent lake garda is the beautiful bella Italia holiday park. The park is well looked after and spotlessly clean. And all of the staff were really friendly. The facilities at the park were great. But we didn't spend much time in the park itself, as most days were spent on the lake, or visiting nearby attractions. We would recommend day trips to Venice (a must), the aquapark, movieland and gardaland. This campsite is a great base for visiting local attractions, as well as lake garda itself.
