Le Chateau des Marais reviews

The Maye Family | August 2015

Just got back from this campsite, and I have to say we all had an amazing time. We stayed in a eurocamp mobile home, and the pitch we were on was quite spacious (as were most at this campsite). The whole place is well looked after and kept very clean and manicured. Our kids loved the crazy river and the large play area. The nearby village is very pretty. Plenty to do at the campsite for younger families, but teenagers may get bored as most of the activities are aimed at primary school age kids. The campsite has a shop, which is a little overpriced as you would expect, but the restaurant and takeaway were reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be coming back here on our next holiday.

The Harris Family | June 2012

Booked a last minute holiday with keycamp, we stayed in a mobile home, which was more spacious than we thought it would be (this is our first “camping” holiday), it was also very clean, as is the entire campsite. The staff are really friendly and will go out of there way to help you. The pools and crazy river were great, but the main pool was very cold. There is a great play area for kid, as well as a play area in the bar. The area around the campsite is really beautiful and I would definitely recommend going to the Chambord Chateau which is just around the corner from the campsite, it’s fantastic. We will definitely be going on a camping holiday again!

The Maye Family | August 2008

Stayed at Le Chateau Des Marais the end of August so we had fantastic weather! The swimming pool was great, clean and most importantly warm! Would definitely recommend hiring kayaks, as well as bikes as there are some great cycle paths in the area. The campsite restaurant was a bit on the expensive side and there wasn’t much choice, so I would recommend heading into the village where there is an excellent restaurant by the river. There is also a vineyard a few hundred metres away, where you can sample and buy the wine. I would definitely recommend this campsite if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday, and I would say it is perfect for families with young children.
