Club Farret reviews
Yelloh! Village Le Club Beach Farret, Vias Plage, Languedoc, France
We stayed at Club beach Farret in June for 2 weeks. Located on the coast with direct access to a large beach the campsite is kept immaculately clean. Shops are nearby and on site that are good value. There is a very impressive mini golf course within walking distance which has two courses, one pirate themed with waterfalls, the other wild west with authentic wooden shacks. A large go-kart track and theme park is just past the mini golf course with large and small rides including 4D cinema and haunted house shooting style ride. The Vias town is a typical seaside town with bright lights, tack shops, ice cream parlours and a few cloths shops as well as a supermarket. We spent most of out holiday time on the campsite and in Vias with just one excursion to an aquarium organised by the site which was about 20Km away. We stayed in a newely modern Thompson mobile home that was located on the side of the campsite near the beach and pool. A majority of the other accommodation is located across a road which is rarly used by vehicles but we still felt unsettled when the kids wanted to venture across to use the tennis courts so we ended up accompanying them. We were blessed with 2 weeks hot sun and didn't need a hire car as the location was full of activities to entertain the kids. We had a great holiday at Club beach Farett, I would reccommend this campsite for families wanting plenty of fun and don't mind being in a typical bright seaside resort.
Booked a holiday with Eurocamp here and we loved the campsite. It is located on the coast next to a lovely large beach. The campsite is clean and well looked after (landscaped throughout). The pool area is great for the kids and aqua arobics was organised in the complex in the mornings. A sunbathing area is set aside from the pool which had sand, palm trees and loungers , however it would have benefited from being slightly bigger with more loungers as it was always popular due to it having a nicer atmospher than the beach. The evening entertainment was varied every night with musical shows and acts which the kids really enjoyed. Overall we had a lovely holiday here, the kids were thrilled which made it a great holiday for us. lots of fun and activites for all ages.
I have to say the park is fantastic, the one thing that lets this park down is the pool, they have life guards patroling the pool who do nothing to stop the lunatics from dive bombing into the pool all day, it is highly dangerous being in there, the other negative of the pool is the over crowding its just not big enough for the size of the site so actually swimming is a none starter a quick cool down as you watch overhead for flying dive bombers.
The beach is great as is everything else on the park but the problems with the pool would put me off visiting this park again.
Just returned from a 10 day holiday at Club Farret campsite and I must say, the reviews on this page suck. The campsite is absolutly amazing and I can’t believe no-one has commented on the humongous toddler pool and the spectacular pirate themed bar with a huge skull and crossbones at the entrance. The beach is fabulous (well it is the south of France) and the entertainment at night is second to none! I managed to spend a few evening in the gym which has all the latest equipment and a trainer to help. My kids loved every minute of the holiday and threw tantrums all the way home complaining we didn’t stay long enough. I must say that the campsite itself is more focussed on teenagers than most other sites I have been to, so I too suggest a Thomson al Fresco static caravan so your accommodation is a healthy distance from the evening entertainment but not too far from the facilities. So what are you waiting for, Club Farret is truly an amazing holiday!
We stayed here at the start of July, so it was still relatively quiet, as the school holidays hadn’t started yet, so there were mainly families like mine with toddlers or babies. The campsite was spotlessly clean, and the garden areas were beautifully maintained. The pool area was great, and during the day you can take part in aqua aerobics or waterpolo (as well as swimming and slashing around of course). The pool area opens at 10 am, we never had a problem getting sun loungers, but as there are not that many I would imagine that there would not be enough for everyone in school holidays. Next to the pools are two bars, and so most of the evening entertainment is around the pool area. The onsite shop is excellent, with fresh bread and a butchers, which was great for when you decide to have an impromptu barbecue. Anyway, I think I’ve rambled on enough now! But I would definitely recommend Club Farret and can’t wait to return again.
This campsite is right next to the beach, and is clean and tidy, as was our mobile home. The staff are friendly and the pool was nice and warm (which is not usually the case with French campsites!). The bar area can get a bit noisy at night, so I would recommend booking with Eurocamp or Thomson Al Fresco if you want to avoid the noise as their mobile homes are on the other side of the campsite away from the noise unlike the park owned accommodation.
