Cambrils reviews
Cambrils campsite, Salou, Costa Dorada, Spain
Flew with Ryan Air to the sun sea and sand of Salou. Stayed on Cambrils park for a week. Great location next to a beach and only a short trip from Reus airport. Train station close by for easy access to Barcalona. Stayed in accommodation with Thomson which was clean and in a great private spot. Park has lots of facilities including a huge swimming pool complex based around elephants and dragon slides. Such a fun place and imaculate grounds. Worth every penny : )
Great campsite and lots to do in the nearby areas. We visited nou camp (Barcelona's football ground), porta ventura and also did a days shopping in las ramblas as well as visiting the beautiful gaudi cathedral! When we weren’t off exploring, we spent much of our time around the pool area (which has two huge elephants and a waterslide!), there’s a bar next to one of the pools, so you get to relax while the kids are off splashing about and making new friends. The campsite also had lots of sports you and your kids can do, so there was plenty to keep my whole family busy! The campsite also has a restaurant, bar takeaway and shop, which we thought were all reasonably priced compared to some campsites we have stayed at in Spain. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this campsite to anyone, as we had a amazing holiday and we will definitely be going back again.
Cambrils is a large campsite in salou, which is not too far from Barcelona, so there are plenty of things to do/see. The campsite itself was nothing special, it has the usual swimming pools, restaurant, bar, shop, sports facilities etc. I wouldn't say that the park is run down, but I equally wouldn't say that it has been well cared for. It's a good place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding areas, but if you are the type of family who spend all of your holiday at the campsite, then you would be better off staying somewhere else.
